The company’s founders and leadership–who have held senior positions in The White House, the U.S. Treasury, the African Development Bank, the Center for Global Development, and the ONE Campaign–are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to grow engagement with the U.S. Government (USG) with a focus on the Department of Defense (DoD). The Company

The Role

  • Master the company’s product, services, and applications.
  • Effectively articulate the company’s unparalleled value for prospective customers, ideally with personal experiences and relevant examples.
  • Identify and capture new revenue and work with the technical team to build account strategies and lead resulting proposal efforts.
  • Receive and grow a portfolio of key USG accounts and cultivate customer relationships and achieve account expansion goals.
  • Achieve greater exposure and brand awareness for the company.
  • Take the lead on opportunities (e.g. conferences, meetings, demonstrations) to secure market position.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Prime contractors and other strategic partners.

The Background Profile

  • US Citizenship
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
  • Former Special Operations IC Experience preferred with networks in the COMs
  • 3-5+ years of successful business development experience including specific experience with the DoD or Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)
  • Significant experience with U.S. Federal Government contracting
  • Experience in Business to Government/Business to Business (B2G/B2B)
  • Background in statistics, technology, GIS, and/or data analysis strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and writing skills with relevant examples to demonstrate writing quality
  • Experience in emerging markets preferred (e.g. Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Latin America)
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 5-10%
